WORKSHOP DUBBING DIALOGUE EVALUATION

For this particular workshop, we were working in pairs I worked with Hari Jayarajan. David had set up short clips of dialogue between two characters the scene that we chose was from the matrix, the scene included a conversation between Morpheus and Neo when Morpheus was asking Neo if he wants to know what the Matrix is. The objective of this work shop was to add dialogue to the clip by muting all the sound effects and dialogue and adding our own in there. The method we chose to use seemed simple.
We booked a private room and recorded the dialogue via garage band. Since both of the voices were male my voice was filtered and lowered a few tones to sound masculine to match Morpheus.
The recording went really well but the timing was bad. Unfortunately, the task of editing fell to me and I am not really good at editing via Garage band. some of the dialogue was out of synch and the words didn't all fall in the correct place. But the point of the task was to understand Foley recording and re dubbing audio which had already been recorded which we did.
